NIS-SU
Scientific Research Department of the Sofia University (NIS-SU) is the applicant organisation responsible for management of all financial matters, including partner contraction, funding distribution, supervision of partner activities. It takes part in building the ECVET based approach for qualifications description, transfer and upgrade of PROWAT products, testing and evaluation, valorization, and arrangement of popularization of the project products and the post-project life.
NIS-SU runs over 300 projects annually, about 60 of which are managed together with international enterprises and organizations. Its focus is on the education research, technology development and integration of "good practices". Some of the core competencies of NIS-SU in the area of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Environment Protection, Cell Biology, university and vocational training are gained within projects in the framework of the national and EC programmes (LdV I and II, Socrates/Erasmus, Minerva, Grundtvig, Copernicus, 6/7FP, etc.), with partners from all over the world. NIS-SU has expertise in leading projects at national and European levels, thus contributing to the local management, the smooth development of the project specific activities and organization of active measures for post-project actions. This institution takes part in the transfer of innovation; evaluation of the teaching/training materials in accordance with ECTS/EQF; issuance of teaching/training and dissemination materials in e-format and printed version. NIS-SU participates in the dissemination and exploitation, popularizing project objective and goals, results and products.
